I love the start of Spring, all my favourite flowers start to bloom, daffodils, crocus, snowdrops. I noticed my local greengrocers have started to sell daffodils in pots, I decided to buy two. However, my pet hate is the small plastic pots they are in. To combat this I decided to crochet a couple of pot covers.
I had a look in my stash bag and noticed I had a ball of Sugar and Cream in Rose Petal, it's available at the Wool Warehouse site. I have noticed that even though the yarn is infused with the fragrance of rose petals the smell does not last long, a couple of days and then it seems to disappear, I do like the yarn though it is easy to crochet with and I like the change of pinks as I crochet along.
I didn't have a particular pattern in mind for this I just crocheted a foundation chain checked it would go around the pot and then joined it into a circle with a slip stitch. I used a double crochet stitch and worked in the round until I got to the height of the pot. I couldn't decide how to finish the top so I crocheted four chains and joined with a double stitch into the top circle, crocheted another four chains, skipped two stitches along the top circle and double crocheted in the next stitch, I carried on with this all the way around the top.
Hope you like them
